Guaranteed in writing
Issued before the final invoice
We survey before we quote, repair first where a repair is right, and put every guarantee in writing before the final invoice. Whether it's a slipped slate or a complete re-roof, the same team handles it from survey to handover, and we leave the place clean.
What we do
A name local homeowners already know
From the team behind Prestige Paving. Same people, same standards, now looking after the part of your house that keeps everything else dry.
Why Enniskerry Roofing
The same crew and standards as Prestige Paving, working on homes across Wicklow and South Dublin.
Nobody who hasn't stood on your roof can price a roof. We look first, then give you a fixed written estimate.
We'd rather do a €300 repair properly than sell a €15,000 roof you don't need.
Deck, underlay, battens, ventilation, fixings. The tiles are the last five per cent of the job.
Public liability cover in place before we start. We'll show you the certificate.
A fixed written price. The number you sign is the number you pay.
When the weather does its worst, we make it safe first and fix it properly second.

Local knowledge
Living on this side of the mountain means your roof takes weather that a Dublin estate never sees. Driving rain finds any weakness in a ridge, a valley or a flashing, and hillside sites get it earlier and harder.
We know the housing stock: Victorian and Edwardian slate in the village cores, mid-century tiled estates, one-off houses on exposed slopes. We know which details fail on which types of roof, and we specify accordingly.
Based in 18 Millfield, Enniskerry, so when we say we work locally, the roof we're surveying is often one we can see from the yard.

Questions answered
It depends on three things: the size and pitch of the roof, the material you choose, and how much of the existing structure has to come off first. A straightforward tile swap over a sound deck is a very different job from a full re-roof where the battens and underlay have failed. We won't put a number on your roof until we've stood on it. You'll get a detailed, itemised written estimate after the survey, and the number you sign is the number you pay.
Carrying out like-for-like repairs or re-roofing with similar materials is generally exempt development in Ireland. It changes if you're altering the roof's height or profile, adding dormers or roof windows to the front elevation, changing the material in a way that materially alters appearance, or working on a protected structure or in an architectural conservation area. Rules vary between local authorities. Always confirm with Wicklow County Council or Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown before starting. We'll flag anything that looks like it needs permission at the survey.
Three signs it's likely replacement: you're seeing repeat failures in different parts of the roof; the slates or tiles are brittle, flaking or no longer made; or the battens are soft and the underlay has perished. One bad flashing or a handful of slipped slates is a repair. We'll show you which you're looking at.
Most domestic re-roofs take between five and twelve working days from scaffold to handover, weather permitting. Larger, steeper or more complex roofs with multiple valleys, dormers and chimneys take longer. We agree the programme before we start and tell you immediately if the weather changes it.
Often yes. Temporary weatherproofing and most slate, tile and flashing work can be done in poor conditions. Some jobs (certain flat roof systems and anything needing adhesives or GRP) need dry conditions and have to wait. We'll tell you which at the survey rather than taking the money and hoping.
Yes, including public liability cover for working at height. We'll show you the certificate before work starts.
